Service Opportunities Inside the Church

“Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send, and

Annual Easter Egg Hunt- Each year, the church has a public Easter egg hunt on the church grounds. In preparation for this event, we need individuals who are willing to help stuff candy into plastic Easter eggs. Also, on the morning of our egg hunt, we need individuals who are willing to help hide the stuffed eggs. (Very Low Commitment- Once a year around Easter) 

Church Service Recorder- Service recorders are in charge of
live streaming our Sunday church service for the church website and recording our Sunday morning adult Bible study. If interested, you will be added to the current rotation of recorders.  (Low Commitment - Once every month)

Church Clean Up -  This event, held by the Trustees, takes place once a year in May. It is usually held on the third Saturday from 8 am till noon. However, time and date are subject to change. Spring Clean Up includes various inside and outside improvements to the church property. These tasks do vary in difficulty so individuals of all ages are invited to help. (Very Low commitment)

Financial Secretary- As financial secretary, you are in charge of entering the weekly donation into the Servant Keepers (church management software). The church does supply this position with a laptop that is equipped with the software. Training on the software is also available. (Moderate Commitment-On Your Own Time; It takes about 30 minutes to enter 1 week of donations.) 

Office Volunteer - As an office volunteer, you would be in charge of stuffing (
assembling) the Church bulletin for Sunday Services during your assigned week. (Low commitment-Once every two or three months)

Sunday School Teacher or Aid - This volunteer opportunity is designed for individuals are interested in helping our children (3yrs - 14 yrs.) grow and develop in God's Word. As a Sunday School teacher, one would be responsible for developing and executing lessons based off our Sunday School material. However, as a Sunday School aid, one would assist the primary teacher in various areas including classroom management, crafts, and distribution of papers. (Medium/High Commitment- Depends on the individual.However, Sunday School is held on Sunday mornings from 9:15 -10:15 am during the School Year)

VBS Helpers-In order to help our Vacation Bible School (VBS) program be a huge success
, we need volunteers who are interested in helping with VBS decorations, music, crafts, snacks, games, and storytelling skits. This year, we are using Concordia Publishing House's VBS curriculum; they provide everything needed to make VBS fun and easy for volunteers. To learn more about this year's theme, please visit our VBS page(Low Commitment- A Week Long Commitment during the Summer)

Website Designer- This volunteer opportunity is designed for individuals who have a strong interest in technology and web design. This position would help the church maintain their current website. Maintenance may include updating backgrounds, photos, and various pages. Some website experience is preferred, however, not necessary. Basic training is available. ( Very Low commitment-Upon the request of the staff)  

Youth Group Volunteer- This volunteer opportunity is designed for individuals are interested in helping our youth grow and develop in God's Word. At the moment, this position's primary responsibility
consists of supervising and assisting youth during monthly activities. However, if interested, individuals are able to assist in the planning process for future events.
